Bath is famous for hosting fantastic festivals, and this year sees the 70th anniversary of Bath Festivals. Running from 11th-27th May, the city boasts a diverse range of over 160 events, with everything from art to literature. Meet new people, attend debates and talks, and experience a city party like no other. The Festival will kick off with An Evening with Amanda Palmer, and the finale weekend will feature popular music stars including Tears for Fears, Alison Moyet, Imelda May, Midge Ure, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Seth Lakeman and Robert Plant.
A trip to Bath isn’t complete until you’ve visited the glorious Victoria Park. Opened in 1830, this stunning park spans 57 acres. For one weekend only (8th-10th June) join celebrity chef Tom Kerridge as he presents this unique ‘pub food’ festival hosted in the park, and showcasing some of Britain’s finest gourmet grub! There’s also live music from popular artists such as Melanie C, Razorlight, Gabrielle Aplin and Squeeze as well as shopping stalls and chef demonstrations.
The Bath Cup featuring James Blunt – September 2018
The Bath Cup takes place at Bath Racecourse and features a weekend of horse racing and music. Rounding up the weekend with a live performance on Saturday 15th September is popular singer James Blunt. Having sold over 20 million records across the world, this is an artist not to be missed!
Set amongst the awe-inspiring backdrop of Bath Abbey, the old Roman streets are lined with festive wooden huts for the annual Christmas Market. Enjoy food and drink from all over the world, shop for unique gifts and enjoy the warming atmosphere on a cold winter’s evening.
